The Direct Care Training Program is an initiative to help interested individuals to prepare for getting an entry-level position in the healthcare industry.

Training Details

Program run July 25th, 2016 – August 5th, 2016

Monday – Friday 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Course Topics Include:

  • Communication Skills
  • Cultural Competency
  • Health Care support
  • CPR & First Aid
  • Infection Control
  • Basic Restorative Skills
  • Personal Care
  • Nutrition
  • Hands-On Training
  • Job readiness & Speed Networking

 

The course is free of charge but applicants must be unemployed, legally able to work in the U.S., have a High School diploma or GED/HiSET. Those who are accepted will be expected to complete all the training sessions.

Mandatory Orientation will be held at BAWIB on Tuesday, July 19th at 10 AM – 11:30 AM. All applicants must attend.
