Workforce Training Fund

The Workforce Training Fund is a state fund enacted into law in July 1998 and financed entirely by Massachusetts employers, through their unemployment insurance compensation fees. The Workforce Training Fund’s purpose is to provide resources to Massachusetts businesses and workers to train current and newly hired employees.


BAWIB contracts with the UMass Donahue Institute to operate our One Stop Career Center, CareerWorks.  The Employer Services division of CareerWorks assists employers with job postings, recruitments, information sessions & job fairs, On-the-job Training experiences and grant opportunities.  Employer Services Representative is available to help you connect with these services/resources and answer any questions you may have.
